Topic: VTS and Teacher Practice
Presenter: Dr. Kelly Vancil, an elementary teacher in an alternative 3rd-12th grade public school in Kent, Washington.
For his doctoral thesis, Kelly investigated whether a relationship might exist between students using critical thinking as developed through VTS and student's success on a high-stakes written assessment of reading comprehension. On this call, Kelly will discuss his findings and his reflections about the roles of VTS in schools and teacher practice.
